LADJA: Judith Mackay

LADJA is based on the Isle of Lewis in the Western isles. I have 3 lines of craftwork:

  1. Jewellery - which is made from beads and silver plated wire. I mainly use glass beads, but some pieces incorporate gemstones and crystal pearls.
  2. Tiaras - These range from simple beaded headbands to more elaborate floral designs. I also make decorated hair combs.
  3. Bags - I make these from locally produced Harris Tweed. These items come in a range of sizes from small clutch bags to larger sack type bags. Handles are made in different lengths and of different materials such as leather, beads, woven material and plastic.
