Sterling Silver jewellery inspired by the principals of the Shen Cycle,
which has been the backbone of all Chinese culture, medicine and philosophy
for the past 5000 years.
The designer of Shen Jewellery, Alison McDonald, developed a fascination with the interaction of the five elements while studying Shiatsu in Aberdeen. She achieved full MRSS status in 2000, and practised Shiatsu professionally for several years. Shen Jewellery has provided a new and creative outlet for the designer to combine her knowledge of Chinese medicine and healing, with her love of fashion and jewellery. Each piece of jewellery is designed to capture and reflect the essence of each element with the colours, shapes & materials used thoughtfully chosen to represent its spirit in some manner.
