Hi my name is Christine Clark and my hobby is Pyrography.
Pyrography is the art of decorating wood using a burning tool, which is a pen- like device with a metal end through which controlled heat is transferred to a removable tip. I create unique images and pictures for all kinds of subjects.
The style and nature of the image, determines how long it takes to finish the picture, which can take from just a few days to a week or more. The boxes are made by my husband from various types of wood, and when finished I burn images on to them.
I really enjoy doing this as they are all different and tactile mediums on which to work.
I burn various subjects on to wood producing pictures and images, which you have to see to fully appreciate. The burning produces different textures and shades depending on how hot the nib / wire is set. I produce plaques, key rings, memo pads with burnt images etc.
