Welcome to Little Blue Cabin housewares, storage and gifts, a bit of inspiration for your home.
Little Blue Cabin creates and up-cycles from whatever is available, finding unwanted and unloved materials from many sources, hopefully, to enhance your home. A lifetimes' experience of handicrafts and DIY, all brought together as a new challenge!
I am really excited to share what I make out of pallet wood, driftwood and other previously used materials. I find that working with wood rings my bells the most. I am at the beginning of this venture, and still exploring what I can do and what will inspire my future work. I’m looking for that niche that uses woodwork with my soft crafting endeavours.
I have a strong desire to make practical, pretty or useful things using whatever materials are coming my way. I don't like throwing things away, and will usually 'gift' them to the nearest charity shop so someone can benefit from them. I have also found these shops great for inspiration and resource. I have been fortunate with friends donating their unwanted items to me as well, so I never quite know what's going to inspire me next. I'm usually creating a mess, but having fun on a daily basis ....
If you have a piece of furniture you are willing to donate, it can be collected and given a new lease of life.
