I grew up in Scotland and have always enjoyed living in the North East. Witnessing its beauty on a daily basis is my main inspiration for my creativity. You can often find me exploring the beaches up and down the East Coast of Scotland, searching for bright and shiny pieces of weathered treasures.
The sea glass, pebbles and agates used in my pictures and artwork are the creation of nature, where they are brought in by the movement of the sea waves as the tides come and go around the beaches of North East Scotland. Sea glass begins as shards of broken glass from bottles, jars or even shipwrecks that are consistently tumbled by waves, rocks and sand until the sharp edges are smooth and rounded. Throughout the process the glass gains its coveted frosted appearance and shape. The process can take anywhere from seven to fifty years.
The pebbles and sea glass in my pictures are all natural and is a perfect gift from nature made by me.
